The Nightingale Motel
A one-of-a-kind, hidden gem located in the beautiful Southwest of Colorado. Our sophisticated boutique motel features 17 guest rooms, the Neon Mallard bar, and a location in the heart of Pagosa Springs. We are just steps away from the best restaurants and stores, hot springs, the river and only a 30-minute drive to Wolf Creek Ski Area. In 2019, The Nightingale Motel opened following a one-year restoration and remodel inspired by the atmosphere of the 1950s roadside motels, but with contemporary styling, luxury linens, and seamless online check-ins, all catering to the values of the modern traveler.
Where to find it
Surrounded by shops and eateries along Highway 160, this trendy motel is 7 minutes away on foot from Pagosa Springs Town Park and an 8-minute walk from Hippy Dip Hot Spring. The all-natural, geothermal hot springs have been a driving attraction to the area for generations, and many believe the mineral-rich waters have healing qualities. The Mother Spring feeds all of the geothermal pools and waterworks in Pagosa Springs and is certified by Guinness World Records as the World’s Deepest Geothermal Hot Spring Aquifer at a depth of over 1002 feet (305 meters).
Good to know
Located at the newly renovated and redesigned Nightingale Motel, the Neon Mallard is a place for locals and travelers alike to come enjoy a cocktail and relax with friends. Come wind down in the lounge or around the outdoor fire pit for an experience in an environment unlike anything else in Pagosa. Our menu includes signature cocktails, a full bar, draft and bottled beers, a collection of hand selected wines, and dishes to share including charcuterie, cheese plates, Greek sampler, desserts and more for you to enjoy.
The Nightingale Motel has a rich history in Pagosa Springs dating back to 1898 when the main house was built after the town’s incorporation in 1891.
Following that Dr. Mary Fisher set up the town’s first medical clinic in what is now the Neon Mallard Bar. From the 40’s on, additional cabins were built for travelers and it has welcomed guests as Morehead’s Modern Cabins, Harvey’s Motel, and the Pinewood Inn.
In 2019 after extensive remodeling we reopened as The Nightingale Motel and Neon Mallard Bar.
